Hi!

I’m Holly! I love a good project, whether that be a small DIY or a large renovation. I created this blog to chronicle my home and that many projects we’ve undertaken to update it into this decade. I hope you find something here that inspires you to create in your own home. 🙂

Recently

✨ 🌲 This years Christmas tree! Added some sprays to our white tree to add some fullness and green. Topped with powder blue chiffon ribbons, silver tinsel garland, and silver and white bulbs. ✨ Love turning it on at night and sitting in that glow. ☺️

✨ What do you get when you take paint samples, 3 rolls of painters tape and endless patience? The coolest closet accent wall there ever was. 😊 What do you think!?

✨Every renovation I learn new things! This week I learned that laser measuring countertops for precision off of a janky vanity base results in janky countertops. 😂 Nothing an angle grinder and some sanding disks can’t fix! Next time we’ll specify we want the countertop to be square no matter what the vanity is doing. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

All this time spent working has been SO worth it. I love to invest in our home and make it into a space where we truly love to spend time. Seeing the progress in this space every night when I open the door is enough motivation to keep going and finish it strong! Can’t wait for you guys to see the finished space!

✨ The best part about this door, other than the fact that it’s beautiful, is that a piece of another house that I love gets to come live at my house. ☺️ Swipe for all previous iterations of this front door area. Sometimes fourth time is the charm. 😉

✨ Sometimes you just have to take a chance and ask for what you want! You never know, it might pay off big time! 😉 I first saw this door two years ago when we had a showing at the house it belonged to and fell in love! 😍 Lucky for me, the new homeowners decided to upgrade the door and their trash became my treasure. So pleased with how it turned out! Andddd ready to get back to the laundry and bathroom remodels that I may have neglected last weekend to work on this front stoop overhaul. 🫣 Let me know what you think! 🚪

✨ Anyone else get impatient and lift things by yourself that you definitely shouldn’t be lifting by yourself? I’ve been slinging this door around all weekend and my muscles are feeling it! Glad it’s finally in its final resting place and excited to show you the look tomorrow! 👀

✨ Weekend warrior status activated. I love how this bench area is turning out! Ordered some coat hooks this week - polished nickel to match the cabinet hardware- and I can’t wait until they get here so I can get them up.
