Hi All!

I thought I would make my first post an introduction. My name is Holly! I’m twenty four and I love a good DIY project. When my husband and I were looking to buy our first home this last spring I knew I wanted something that needed a few cosmetic updates so I could show it some love.

We ended up purchasing this nice house in the north Twin Cities suburbs. It was built in 1994 and hasn’t gone through any significant updates since. If you don’t know what that means, think honey oak…EVERYWHERE. As soon as we got the keys I wanted to get to work but we had to move all our stuff in first (what?!?). I ended up starting with painting our kitchen cabinets about 3 days after closing. Zac says I have years of stored HGTV in my brain that is finally making its way out. (Ha!)

Since the process is going by quickly, I wanted to have a space to document all the changes! Here we are. I can’t say for sure if our house will ever really be done but it’s already looking better than when we started so we must be on the right track. 😉
