Hi Friends,
‘Tis the season for all things Christmas. I decorated a week early this year at our house which I know is taboo for some people. Hear me out. It was all cozy inside and snowy outside and I just couldn’t help myself. Plus this way I get to enjoy it for an extra week. 🙂
I hung the stockings by the chimney with care…uh wait a minute. So we don’t actually have a chimney. But our electric fireplace makes a good backdrop for our stockings, don’t you think? I got to purchase quite a few new Christmas decorations this year because we didn’t have many in our old townhouse. Stockings from Target and stocking holders are from Marshall’s.
I added bottle brush trees to the end table next to our couch for a small winter detail. For the dining table centerpiece, I used eucalyptus branches, gold jingle bells and this adorable polar bear (Target).
I added this little holiday sign to our entryway key drop. I’m keeping my succulents up through the winter just because I can. Also, if you read my entryway post, you’ll be excited to learn that I finally got around to switching out the stock photo in this photo frame. Win.
Can’t forget about the tree! This is the third year I have put this pretty white tree up. This year I decorated it with a mix of gold and silver ornaments. If you have kids, I should tell you this tree is pretty much child proof. The large gem ornaments are plastic and the rest is mostly jingle bells, eucalyptus branches, and garlands. No bulbs will break over here! Also, funny story, when I went to purchase our first tree, I originally bought a traditional green one. I brought it home, set it up, stared at it for two days and finally figured out it wasn’t for me. So back in the box it went to the store and this white one came back with me in its place. Not the first or last time I’ll have to try something out in a space to figure out it doesn’t work. That’s life!
I want to say I’m about halfway done with shopping for gifts but I don’t know if that’s true. I have big Amazon shipment coming with a few more gifts that might push me over halfway there. We all have those people that seem impossible to shop for that we procrastinate buying gifts for and then panic at the last second when we still don’t know what to get them. I’m determined to not let that happen this year. In all reality though, I’m probably coming soon to a gift card kiosk near you.
I’ll leave you with one more tree pic, in all its glory. What are your favorite ways to decorate for Christmas? Do you know anyone that goes all out? I’d love to hear about it.
Thanks for reading,
