If you didn’t know, my full-blown, grown-up, pays-all-the-bills job is in plumbing. Most days I enjoy what I do (everyone has “those” days, right?) and I especially enjoy when my day involves product research for clients. I work in new construction and part of my job is researching faucets or fixtures for a builder or builder’s client to put in their new home. Based on this, I think I’m justified in my opinion that faucets are sometimes under-appreciated. They have so much going for them, they can take a design to the next level, they can add a something special and functional to a space and nothing breaks my heart more than when someone wants to put in the cheapest, lowest quality, spec finish faucet. One of my missions in life is to help people realize that faucets are awesome and it is in that spirit that I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite kitchen and bar faucets. Enjoy!
- Brizo Litze Kitchen Faucet in Matte Black/Luxe Gold
Possibly my favorite faucet of all time. I love the color combo and the knurling detail on the handle and sprayer. I also might have one sitting in a box waiting to be installed in a future house. - Delta Trinsic Kitchen Faucet in Champagne Bronze
Our current kitchen faucet. I fell in love with the color first and the simple design second. Three and a half years ago when we installed it, gold wasn’t really a “thing” in the midwest home decor market yet but since then it’s really taken off. This faucet is double awesome because Delta also just released this model with built-in Amazon Alexa and it also comes in a touch on/off configuration. - Brizo Artesso Kitchen Faucet in Polished Nickel
I just love the look of this one – so classic. - Kohler Karbon Articulating Kitchen Faucet in Chrome
This faucet is a conversation piece. I love that everyone will have an opinion about it- whether they love it or hate it. It’s also more money than I would ever spend on a faucet (or a mortgage payment) but someone must be buying them because they’re still making them. - Delta Pivotal Exposed Hose Kitchen Faucet in Black Stainless
This is another one I’m hoarding for a future house. I just love the black stainless and the exposed hose. - Delta Broderick True Bar Kitchen Faucet in Black Stainless
I love the industrial look of this one. I think it would look amazing in a modern rustic theme wet bar. - Brizo Solna Articulating Kitchen Faucet in Matte Black
This one is like “upscale industrial”. I love matte black – it’s popping up everywhere these days and this one is a step up because the hose (which is usually just braided nylon) is a finished metal that color matches to the faucet itself. - Kohler Purist Bridge Kitchen Faucet in Matte Black
I’m not a big fan of words like “farmhouse” but if you’re going for a modern farmhouse look – this bridge faucet will accomplish all of that and then some.
Hopefully I didn’t scare you off with all the faucet talk and maybe you even think faucets are kind of cool now. Maybe you even want to switch out your faucet for an even better one. I’m all for that plan. You know what they say: change your faucet, change your life. I actually just made that up – but it can’t hurt to try. 🙂 Let me know if you have a favorite!
